Gentrification in the Netherlands:

a process of change and a changing process

This one-day conference brought together some of the leading scholars on Dutch gentrification. It was attended by both studetns and faculty from various universities. Keynote addresses were given by Prof. dr. Jan van Weesep (Utrecht University) and dr. Lia Karsten (University of Amsterdam).

Many of the papers presented at the conference were part of the special issue on gentrificationI guest edited in Tijdschrift voor Economische en Sociale Geografie in 2014

This evening was organised to challenge what we think we know about Detroit. It brought together a diverse collection of speaker and discussants to go beyond the traditional narratives of this much-researched city. Speakers included:

Friso Wiersum (Expodium)
